Being from Texas, it's hard not to be a fan of Eric Johnson, and I'll admit that when he puts his name on a piece of gear, I'm going to start saving my pennies to give it a try. When the Fender Eric Johnson Stratocaster came out a few years ago, I liked them so much I bought two of them (Black and Candy Apple Red). I'll probably just stick with one (Tropical Turquoise) of the Rosewood fretboard models this time.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like the binding or not, but it adds a classy vibe to an already classy guitar. The neck is just as playable as the maple version, and the pickups give that classic Eric Johnson violin tone. It's also way affordable compared to Fender's Custom Shop offerings. The finish is immaculate and honestly looks and feels like a Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster.

All in all, the Fender Eric Johnson Rosewood Stratocaster is worthy of the names on the headstock, both Leo's and Eric's! Find yours for sale with our affiliate partner eBay below!
